Not quite fraud but disgusting. Called my elderly mother and told her he was from Hell and coming to get her. She promptly told him where to go in no uncertain terms and blocked the number!

It s an Umbrella Payroll Company for Contractors. I checked out their website as I m unhappy with my current one, and saw the missed call from them (this number), promptly followed by a text message. Googled the missed call number, saw the text 1min later and out 2+2 together.
FRAUD, SCAM, AUTOMAT Automated message told me that fraud was committed under my name, I have to press 1 now to connect to an adviser, if I won't press 1, a warrant will be issued and I will be arrested very soon.
At first I got quite scared when I started getting these calls. I have read a lot about telephone scams where they want to extract your financial data (Net banking PIN, Credit card details etc.) in the name of survey. For this reason I started declining calls from this number. Searching for the owner of this number on the web, I found out that this number belongs to a legitimate lead generation and lifestyle survey company named Simply Outbound. Call centre, claiming to be the Technical Department @ Virgin Media, wishing to discuss my internet access. I told her my number is registered with TPS and requested that all of my details are immediately removed from their database. She hung up without confirming whether she had complied. Strangely, her telephone number seems to be a landline in Germany and she is calling a UK mobile number. As I am not a Virgin Media customer, this is most likely a scam.
No message left by this number. I dialled it back and it had one long ring tone as in U.S or Canadian calls. No one was answering there when I rang back.
SCAM- tried to get me to install an app on my phone. Played with them for a few minutes until they got annoyed enough to swear at me and hung up
