I have stopped answering these suspicious calls for the time being - too busy. As with the one I received at the same time yesterday, when I was having breakfast, I concluded the caller was another criminal trying to persuade me to give them access to my computer so they could infect it. That is because the majority of the calls I get are of that nature. The likelihood was all the greater because, like yesterday s call, it was purportedly from an area where I do not know anyone.

Automated message stating they have been trying to contact and the internet will be cut off within 24hrs.

third call today 9/2/16, finally spoke to someone who said they were from a company called DIRECT RECOVERY. when challenged about no of calls hung up instantly, very very annoying.

Never answered, calls me at 10.15 ish am every Monday have blocked it multiple times still manages to get through!

Called older person and said they were police, left a name, police ref and date, the man was assertive.

A message from Halifax saying that 20 days ago my debit card has been used in Apple Store (location unspecified) £300+ spent. I do not bank with Halifax its a scam
