Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 6066048xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with telemarketing call centre - ppi claims, RTA. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
Said she was from BT and we had hacking activity on our line. Wanted me to turn on my computer. Her English was so poor that when I asked her to hold on while the police came to speak to her she did, for over 10 minutes! Scum, but stupid.

Delete/block number on your phone. Bear in mind, if it was a genuinely important personal/business call for you, whoever it was will find a way to let you know.

Two calls today from this number, both using the same script on home security. Asked for me by name on a business line which is CPR listed so legally should not receive any unsolicited sales or marketing calls. They introduced themselves as "Crime Prevention Officers" looking into recent spate of burglaries in area and gave the impression they were connected to the police if not actually officers. Told me that I had registered with the Call Preference Service (or similar); told his that I hadn t registered with anybody and he rang off. He was polite and didn t waste any more time.
