SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. Scam call asking for details of my lawyer, for tax default. Claimed to have written to me and wanted details from me. I didn t give them any of my details, they said because I wouldn t give them my information the police would be round my house in a couple of hours to arrest me. Person on the phone did not speak very good English as was definitely not from the HMRC.

Had a series of different calls from Staines number with 512 prefix - PPI ambulance chasing and supposed debt recovery. some call centre attempting any scam to get your details. Have asked to be removed numerous times only to be advised my number is in the autodialer

The man with a distinctly foreign accent said that he was from a Broadband provider that uses the 4G network £25 a month for 18 months. But what put me off was as soon as he had finished his schpeel he asked without prompt for my bank details. I said I would get back to him next week when I had done some research into the company.
