Just been called by this number to inform me my emails are being used by someone in the usa and if I follow his instructions through my computer we can solve this together. Bloody nice chap! However I do know that once connected to your computer they can lock you out unless you make payments to them. SCAM me thinks. I called this number back and there was a very nice message with the phone number to call to opt out. No big deal really.

asked my name and how i was, told them i was at work and he hung up on me - i shall be blocking immediately!

I get so many of these calls - it s a nightmare frankly. I always try to discover who makes these calls but it seems this is a new one. I didn t answer so I m not able to help. If they ring again I ll try to get information in order to categorize them.

From a missold PPI refund service, recorded message

Claimed to be from Trojan Telecom and to be calling to reduce my company s telephone bill. Trojan does exist but I doubt if it knows anything about this call. I dialled 1471 and was given the above number followed by a "please hang up" message, suggesting the number may well be fictitious.
