SCAM Phoned my elderly neighbour offering a free red emergency panic button . Knew her personal details eg. Age and address and then went on to ask for her card details to secure delivery. Pleasant well spoken lady with Far Eastern voice. When I interjected the call she professed she couldn’t hear me then put the phone down. By the way my neighbour already has a n emergency button !
Received call. Two rings, hangs up.
Why do these people insist on calling all the time? They are a real pain in the backside especially since I work from home and need my mobile for work. SCAM, SCAM SCAM...BEWARE

Had a call from 01497 874850. From BT Openreach regarding untrustworthy downloads from Facebook / Google. Wanted me to connect to a page on internet to check security has not been compromised. When challenged (ie no problems noticed, I would not connect to any page while on the phone - I would contact BT myself), they hung up. Obvious telemarketing / scamming.
Telemarketing I placed an order with "shop good idea"s the day before this call, and I did not answer this number thankfully - having read the reviews posted here I know not to answer it.

SCAM It's Tom the insulation guy. Calls frequently but this is a new number. Says loft insulation is causing damp and we can get a free survey and an alternative. Went with it - he checks you're old enough to be vulnerable (65-85 or 85+) and that you're the home owner and takes a surname. Bloke from Protec loft insulation calls you back to arrange the visit to take money off you for something you don't need.
This number appeared on my pc to say I had a virus / computer being taken over - could not do anything with the mouse - so switched off pc with on / off button - restarted - all appears OK. (deleted history) It says it is from Microsoft The number is 02045 099603

They have called twice left message once and sent me two emails concerning a debt for plusnet. I contacted plusnet who confirmed no outstanding debt and that this was a scam.

Got a call from this number stating that it is an investment company and they had my details (phone number, full names and surname, an investment account number, and my credit card number. They claimed I had a small balance with them and they wanted to refund it to me, I said I have no knowledge of an account or refund due. Con artists! I am signed up to TIPS and if this was a legitimate company they would be following the code of practice set up. They do not follow the law. they use a recorded voice, therefore they are criminals. Another number for the call blocker.
