Claimed to be 02, when asked, couldn't provide me with my own name as it would be "exposing customer information"
Person put phone down when I answered.
SCAM - Pretending to be Carphone Warehouse, trying to get me to purchase a Vodaphone iPhone contract.
Said there had been unusual withdrawals from my bank account, one for £800. Never asked my name, never said which bank. Put the phone down.

It rang me multiple times within minutes but then just hangs up. when you call the number back the IVR crackles and it only gives you 2 options to speak to someone of to press 9 to remove your number from their call lists. I choose the 2nd option and then minutes later they rang me again.
Answered, no response to my hello, so I hung up. Probably another sales call or worse.

Just had a call from this number saying they were from National Accident Line. Definite scam. They were asking about an accident I had a few months ago and that I was due compensation. I strung them along. "Glad you called, I went through all the details with your colleagues weeks ago. They said I was due £8k in compensation'. 'Sir this is the 1st time I've called you.' I answered a call from this number. The person claimed to be called James from a company called Relief Energy. So far as I can determine, there is no official record of any such company, making me certain that it is a scam.

A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. its a scam even if it is 118 because they sell your data at no gain to you. If its unsolicited hang up because I have never seen any unsolicited call from an unknown person being to your benefit - normally its quite the opposite.
