I missed a call from these people yesterday whilst at work, who are they and are they just scam?

Asked for a name that was not mine. Then said my number had asked for details of doing the lottery. Told them i hadn't and hung up.

Annoying and now on my blocked no s list. Tell you what...I finally rang this number - it goes on automatic response BUT select option 2 to remove your number. It had better remove it otherwise I ll select option 1 next time to speak to a representative and give him/her a piece of my mind!

Heavily accented voice claimed to be from nPower and told me that my contract was up for renewal next month. Total rubbish!

I answered this call and the lady on the other end said she was calling from OVO Energy, as it appeared as a mobile number I didn t trust or believe her and ended the call!!!! I ve now blocked the number!!!!

Rang me twice. Told them to f**k off or ill call the cops. They hanged up! Not australian number. Got 1 thing to tell this number and that is ur never gonna get into Australia. ...

I've had several calls from this number in the last couple of days and no message so I'm assuming it's a sales call

Phoned me yesterday twice and once today

Caller identifies they are from Choice UK but always put the phone down when asked for their head office address. Calls are now twice to three times a day.

I have stopped answering these suspicious calls for the time being - too busy. As with the one I received at the same time yesterday, when I was having breakfast, I concluded the caller was another criminal trying to persuade me to give them access to my computer so they could infect it. That is because the majority of the calls I get are of that nature. The likelihood was all the greater because, like yesterday s call, it was purportedly from an area where I do not know anyone.
