This caller rang three times today and because I did not recognize no I did not pick up. Tried to ring it back & number was not recognized = unobtainable it must therefore be very dubious

lots of calls from Crime Prevention company they will just not give up even trying to con a colleague into saying yes when I have already told them no!!! Had similar experience previously by a different name and they actually only ever printed 12 copies of their newspaper which we had been asked to advertise in! This is how they can seem legal. Recorded message purporting to be from Amazon. Apparently someone placed an order for an iPhone 12 on my account (the bold- faced cheek of some people, eh?) and somehow Amazon found this to be suspicious (probably because me and Jeff are really big buddies!) and wanted me to address it as they didn't want me to be out of pocket (to anyone other than themselves no doubt!). If I hadn't hung up, they'd have been asking for all kinds of personal detail of my account. But I hung up before they asked.

Calling persistently for a person who has never ever lived at this address ( at least not in the past 20 years! ). When I tell the indian call centre person this, as I do on each call, they then ask for the road or street number, which I decline to give them as they should know the details of the person they are calling for.
