It s quite easy to negate these types of calls by getting yourself a Call Line Identity phone. If the call doesn t display the name of someone in your tel address book, or shows number withheld, or out of area, or International let the answer machine do the work. You can then block the number or use phone settings to set your preferences - problem solved...

Bottom feeding, pond life, debt collecting vermin.

Automated Amazon service scam. Idiots!

Called three times today. Rang off twice and third time asked for someone who moved away from this address 9 years ago. When I said she didn t live here, he rang off again. Very annoying.

This number just called me offering the box. I asked if they had a website and whilst I was writing the www address down, the guy hung up. I immediately knew it was a scam. Why...

I keep getting calls from this number but they do not speak and hang up a couple of seconds later. I have tried to call it back but they say that 'this number is not in use...

This company are based in Brighton and are trying to get you to make charitable donations to various charities.... As I already donate to a charity of my choice I do not wish to be bothered by these types of calls. I m also signed up with TPS so shouldn t get them anyway... I found their direct number which is 01273 698697 and asked them to remove both my numbers from their database... Lets see what happens...

Normal pause, I answered as they rang my business line. Some girl saying she represented some bogus law company, saying that her records said that someone in the house has had an accident, is that correct? Swore, then hung up. Now blocking number.

Supposedly from BT giving me 24 hours notice of my contract being terminated. Press 1 to speak to investigation team. I don t have an account with BT. Call cut off.

I jsut had a call from a sweet man give me this whole spiel about Great Ormand Street Hospital. I know great hospital etc. In the end I didnt donate because i am not in the position to financially, otherwise he nearly had me there. Other threads on the net suggest that this was a hoax. I am not sure. People be aware..but don t forget to care!
