Scam indian/pakistani/bangladeshi caller pretending to sell electricity and gas. They don't know a lot about either so they are just gathering details in the hope of profiling you. SCAM - received phone call claiming to be HMRC alleging that a tax fraud case has been opened against me. Voice is AI, and encourages you to press '1' to connect to operator. Likely something dodgy happens at that point. Highly doubt HMRC use such a service and probably a scam because, well, Bradford innit.

01929556393 called today at 3.35pm. I said “hello” three times, each time no response from the caller. I could hear noise in the background, sounded like chattering. Maybe a call centre? That’s CENTRE not CENTER, I’m British, not American. Annoying caller or just rude?

Victims of the scam were then asked to call a number to "resolve" the issue. "This is a scam. Caller identified himself as Reid from Reactive Media. Said he was calling about an overpayment on a (non-existent) loan between two arbitrary dates. When asked for details he couldn t give any and when pushed further he hung up.
