New numbers like this all the time but: If you have caller ID, get a phone with "night mode" where it only rings for numbers in the stored phone memory.

Very pushy but convincing girl at the end of the phone - said they were calling because I had entered a competition to win a trip to New York and so was eligible for ten free lines on Euro Millions. Sounded vaguely legitimate until she started asking me for personal details - date of birth, etc... "to confirm I was over 18". Picked up call when visiting my very elderly mother. They knew her name but little more. They asked to speak to her but would not say who they were, but said it was important. I said I would not continue if they would not identify themselves @nd they terminated call. Asian man was calling. Don?t think they targeted her because of her age. Just told her to be careful , which fortunately she is

Downright nuisance and abusive. I just put phone down now as does my wife. No doubt the number will change but the response will still be the same Not interested for the 1st couple of calls, then just putting phone down
