Called twice today. Answered 2nd call - "Mike (Punjabi) Smith", from 'BT'. Foreign person using my IP address for illegal purposes - would need to disconnect my internet for 5 days. Told me to hit CTRL+R and Windows key and enter something. I played along (doing NOTHING on my laptop, but then asked him, "You say this is coming from my IP address - then you can tell me what it is!?". He gave me a random number from hos head, I guess. Claimed to be from Virgin Media about an internet connection. Worrying signs, firstly did not have my name as a contact or any reason to indicate I have an Virgin account. Also they are using a local number, for a very small area, which to my knowledge does not have a Virgin office.

These clowns have called me 4 times a day for the last week. I answered yesterday to find out who they were, and they said something very fast (3 times I asked, and 3 times they said it too fast and with a heap of mumbling), eventually they got to the 'bef

fake name use "Barclays group" looking for customer in Italy!! OMG

This call centre deals with insurance marketing - in most cases automated life insurance messages. Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back.

Called said they were from British telecommunications said I would not receive any more nuisance calls. Told her I wasn't a BT customer so remove my no. 5 minutes later get call recorded voice saying from BT telling me my phone/internet were going to be cut off shortly....press 1 for? 2 for? Then I hung up. Third call today

Purporting to be from HMRC, it was a recorded message. Telling me to press 1 and if I didn't respond I would be arrested. First call left a voicemail, second call I answered but as soon as I realised it was the same message I disconnected.
