silent call from this number. web search indicates its a scam caller named matthew calling about loft insulation with over 200 complaints in last couple of days. reported to Ofcom, TPS and Info commissioners office.

Today 12.11. 1.35pm have received a call from this number. Scottish Power guy start asking questions about who is my supplier for gas and energy and trying to persuade me to switch for saving money. The very noisy background at the other end and too many questions made me feel very suspicious. Hung up the phone and added the number to my blocked numbers list.

SCAM received call today 16th Nov 2020. A recorded message from Amazon. I hung up instantly and blocked number as I keep getting same call from different numbers re non-payment of Amazon Prime and threatening legal action. I blocked the number.

Called twice today from this number, suggesting somebody in the household had worked in a factory or similar. Told him his information was wrong and hung up.
Called both my landline and my mobile on a Sunday evening. Clearly a Birmingham number. I know the university does fundraising drives amongst alumni but these calls stress not just a nuisance but very intrusive. I understand the Uni says it wants to improve the lot of students but given the vast fees students have to pay that really do not equate to what they are provided with, I think it's a joke, not to say insulting, chasing alumni for money in this devious manner. Almost certainly a scammer. Use the call-blocking system on your mobile or your landline if your provider offers this.
They call about the accident you were in. You ask them to remove the number because a) It is an unsolicited call and you have TPS and b) You have never been in an accident. They say sorry, I will update the records. Next day they call back, so you say the same thing over again, so do they but you add You said that yesterday and yet here you are ringing me again! They promise to remove the details from the database. Guess what, they just called me again!
