SCAM This number called me this morning; automated female voice stating she was calling from HM Revenue & Customs. Wanted me to press 1 to speak to an advisor. Stated that fradulent activity had been noted on my account - ?! Asked me to again press 1 before they report me for tax fraud.

A lady phoned from this number sbout a extended sky warranty. She referred to me by name. When I told her I didn t understand why she was calling as we don t use sky she hung up. Definitly not a legit call.

I can assure you when fraud from the bank phone you they do not use a automated robot to do it. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2038684xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with insurance marketing, accident chasers, PPI claims, "car accident which was not your fault". Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new, new scope, or still the same story?
