I got a call at work and a female welsh voice said `I understand you are under 60 years old and therefore you qualify for a pensions bonus payment of £1,000 which you will receive within the next 60 days. Please press 5 to speak to us". Presumably yet another scam to try and get bank details or name and address

Missed a call from this number, called back - PPI refund sales.

Lady calling to offer advertising space in a 'local magazine', they support a cancer charity. Quite polite and not pushy but I wasn't interested.

Asian man just rang, very hard to understand I kept asking him what he said, he mentioned did I shop at ,... morrisons or Tesco, didn t catch first place ...terrible accent, im fed up if these calls... I said no and hung up

This is police officers radio which goes point to point into landline hence the number. Its from there radio handset and its a set number.

Called three times today. Rang off twice and third time asked for someone who moved away from this address 9 years ago. When I said she didn t live here, he rang off again. Very annoying.

Getting calls from this number everytime I answer they hang up.

Opening gambit "ringing about a car accident that you had that wasn t your fault - is that right".......Don t answer it, block the number, wish these people would just do one.

Moved on from oven cleaning, dyson and now onto carpet cleaning.. keep calling nearly every day.

Basically they re a fishing company, poorly-paid scammers doing blanket cold calling asking "have you had an accident in past 3 years" (citing they have bogus "information at hand") until, inevitably, someone says "yes". Cue then a selling job about how they can claim compo for you (for a % price). Not a scam; just a sad reflection of compensation culture and call-centre mentality. Hang up immediately; or if you want to be arsey, engage person in pointless conversation (though it isn t really his/her fault)
