An automated message comes up saying the call is from HM Revenue & Customs, gives you a case file number, and says if you ignore the call, you will face legal applications. Then asks you to press 1 to speak to an adviser. The advisor distantly says she is calling from the HMRC and asks for your name. When I asked her where are you calling from again, she hung up.

SCAM Have had numerous calls from this and variations on this number. All from Indian people pretending to have British names (Ellie, Ian, Simon, Brian and Rachel are a few) Claiming to be calling from 'The UK Citizen Adwice' and asking for details of my 'debt' (I have none)

Someone named Clive Roberts rang me from this number today 4/11/15 at 11am stating he was calling on behalf of 02. He said he was offering a promotion that 02 were providing. He asked me the usual how much am i paying for my payg per month, i was vague in my answers. He said he could offer me a package of unlimited free calls (to any network), unlimited texts, 2 GB of data for ?18 a month (after gauging i spent roughly ?20 a month for my credit). This is a new number for Utilita, which has been using different numbers to market energy provision aggressively. Elsewhere, on different numbers, this company has generated a lot of complaints. So, I?m guessing it?s only a matter of time before the complaints ratchet up here. Don?t know where they got my number - certainly never asked them to call.

Became agressive when challanged regarding legitimacy of call. Then received caller-withheld harrasment & time wasting calls a few minutes after putting the phone down with the 'caller' attempting to change the sound of their voice
PaymentShield Harassment Calls Warrington Area Code 01925598604. This harassing company called PaymentShield calls me at least 3 to 4 times a day between 12:00 to 16:00. Do not give them your DOB or any other details, apparently it may be a scammer watch out.
