"Jack" called from the "Credit Investigation Department"... I asked which company this "Department" worked for, which at first he wouldn t answer. Eventually he said it was a UK Government Agency... When I pressed him further and explained that I signed up to the TPS and he should not be calling me, he told me to "Shut up and listen!". When I laughed at him and told my colleagues around me what he d just said, he hung up (unsurprisingly!)

Fraud - male caller claimed to be from credit card company MBNA. He claimed that there were unsual transaction on my credit card this morning. He hung up immediately when I said that I had cancelled the card.

Recorded message- female with American accent, saying they were HMRC and I, or my solicitor, needed to call the number immediately. Obviously a scam. Put the phone down and blocked the call.

When you answer they know your name. Claim that insurance cover on your washing machine and freezer is coming to an end & they need to send your new policy documents...And at the same time they will send you details for a new D.D mandate., However before asking for your address they ask for your Bank Sort Code and Account Code. When you refuse to provide they turn snotty and say they can't complete the policy and close the call down. Clearly a SCAM to get your bank details and address

This number claimed to be maidstone police,which i thought was odd as it does not matter where abouts in Kent the police are calling from, they always identify themselfs as Kent police then say what staion they are from,i phoned Kent police and they claimed its a Hoax number.

Called me to try to arrange a home visit for safety system to connect to emergency services for only £1. Rang off immediately when I asked who was organising it.

The person calling said they were from Carphone Warehouse and wanted to talk to me about upgrading my phone (but didn't seem to know what model phone I had, plus this mobile isn't with Carphone Warehouse), but the number is showing up online as belonging to a newsagent in Daventry so be cautious as I'm not sure it's legit...

SCAM saying my internet had downloaded child porn and was money laundering. At first said they were from microsoft and then swung it round to internet provider.
Asked for me by name, then said he was from Citizen advice and I had unsecured debt. I asked what branch of Citizen advice he was from as it was strange they were calling me He responded, oh why don t you put the phone down don t bark at me, just put the phone down you F***ing idiot. then hung up.
