Caller identified himself as Reid from Reactive Media. Said he was calling about an overpayment on a (non-existent) loan between two arbitrary dates. When asked for details he couldn t give any and when pushed further he hung up.
I have been receiving several calls a week from this number to my mobile phone, home number and office number. They either say they are from "Trading Banks" or a market research company in Taiwan. Either way, you know it s a scam. I like to have fun with them. They have all been Filipino until today where the caller was of African descent. Namely it solicits the person receiving the call to press 1 on their phones to seek help in avoiding Internet cut off within a timeslot of 4hrs usually. Needless to say there is no real problem pending and by pressing 1 the unwary may be frightened into giving bank details eg to pay delivery charge for new router. PLEASE HANG UP. They said they were from BT. They said the was a problem with my internet speed. They wanted me to sign on to my pc. At that point I cut the call.
Have readout and log of incoming call,never answer unless they are on my saved list and can be identified, Give a check later on here. Always block so they can never ring back.
