This number txt wiv a link saying you’ve added a device to ur Halifax account then asks for details but a warning comes up as frudulant website but not straight away. But as I don’t av a Halifax account I hadn’t added any details . But it does look like a legitimate website

Missed the call so did 1471. Was told the number does not exist. Double checked and got told "this number does not exist" Not the first time I ve had this type of call...still don t understand how I get calls from a number that doesn t exist!
The call from this number was supposedly from BT saying my landline was to be cut off. I checked with my provider who confirmed this was a scam call as none of my service is from BT. My provider has referred the number to their specialist department for investigation.

I did buy an engine back in 2013 from enginestoyou who did deliver an engine but it was the wrong one. After i informed them they came and collected it but failed to refund me or send me a replacement engine. I chased them through email and phone but they would simply ignore everything. The man with a distinctly foreign accent said that he was from a Broadband provider that uses the 4G network £25 a month for 18 months. But what put me off was as soon as he had finished his schpeel he asked without prompt for my bank details. I said I would get back to him next week when I had done some research into the company.

A recorded call to my mobile informed me of my tax fraud and asked me to press 1 to speak to an HMRC officer. Failure to press 1 would result in an immediate issue of a warrant and my arrest today. The bot then hung up, didn't even say "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Rude little bot!

Said she was from Autodesk or AutoCAD and was looking to speak to accounts as license was due to expire. As we don't use Autocad i got suspicious, then she asked if she was speaking to a certain company, of which i didn't know. This may have been a genuine call where they phoned the wrong company or could have been a scam to try and get a payment. As Autodesk now use 3rd party account managers then you would normally know the person calling you and they would be using the correct names.
