Scammers.. A recording saying that your national insurance number has been compromised. I keep getting calls on my work mobile which I only ever use for work and it is in no way linked to me personally. Definitely a scam, as I have read about people getting these calls. Be wary!

a company cold called me today offering me £2000 gauranteed in my account in 45 minuets..all i had to do is send them..£110..via a card i get from my local shop..what made things sound dodgy is he was ringing me back ten minuets later asking if i sent the money.i said no as i cant afford £110 pound so he said how much can i afford i said £90 & he agreed to take £90 ..i then thought this was a scam as a legitimate company wouldnt do that..as ive read on some threads this company is a scam....loans & finance

I answered the phone, silence, then a recorded message said they were RMG and they could not connect me to one of their advisers at the moment, If I wish to call them back then they would connect me to an adviser. SCAM Message/text sent to my smartphone, contents of text was a Halifax Alert saying I had created a new payee today 28/01 at 12.05pm.If you do not recognise this visit go to a site using the link supplied which was https newpayeealert.live DON'T OPEN LINK Dangerous SCAM, they want access to your account. Must use auto trawlers to get mobile phone numbers and hope some number they text the user has a Halifax account, probably use other Bank and Building Society names.

SCAM Caller stated they were from BT working on local Broadband speed as it had been slow and that it was being worked on to improve and apologise for any disruption we have had. They had also worked on a new "security patch" and asked me to download on one of my connected devices. On telling him I coulent do that he just cut me off. Very believable for an older person.

These people keep phoning claiming they are the support for my internet providers. How do I get rid of them? I ask them which IP since I have 3, one of which is a bank, and I have 3 modems in my house. That normally makes them swear at me and hang up. The other method is to ask them which IP they are calling about, and when they say one, true or not, I say that the account is set up with a security word and they must confirm that before I can talk to them. They swear and hang up. They are always from India,

Told them I don t do surveys, I have no debts and won t be needing their services, so don t bother calling again as I won t answer but they still rang five more times!

Unsolicited call - needs reporting! Reportedly "Nat West Branch Survey" - apparently in response to using local branch recently!!! I m ex-directory and registered with TPS. I also DON T have an account with Nat West - so have not used any of their branches !!!! - Annoyingly this call hijacked my phone s answer-machine and the call wouldn t disconnect until I held down all phone keys for 5 seconds!!!
