I have no idea who called me. It rang once. I picked up the phone and the caller was gone. I do not know if this is nuisance call, scam or a mistake. My number and all other ones are recycled. It could be a mistake.

These jokers called me today addressing me as "Mr Steven" I said where are you calling from? He said "Nationwide" I said "Really? Well then you should know that in Britain nobody is Mr first name either just use their first name or Mr with their last name". This confused my thickly accented Indian friend greatly but I think he understood me in the end. I get at least 1 or 2 missed calls from this No. a day.. I am a Vodafone customer but I haven t actually managed to answer the call so I am not sure if it is Vodafone as per the other comments. I wouldn t call back as I have heard of many scams where they charge you LOADS to return the call for 2 secs of call time. If it was that important the person would leave a message or write to you in the mail. As far as I am concerned we are not missing out on anything here by not answering the calls.

Money supermarket insurance unsolicited call - avoid.

This number just tried to obtain money from my elderly mother and was asking for ALL her bank details over the phone for some kind of washing machine insurance.

After a bit of sleuthing I ve found out that this number belongs to Verso Group, a telemarketing company. You can request to have your number removed from their database via [email?protected] or by calling their customer complaints team on 01582 763 090.

Same again...How many more times do I need to tell them we are happy with our timeshare.. Now blocked but no doubt they will try from another number.

Just spoken to O2 regarding this number and the calls my wife had been getting. They confirmed that the number does belong to O2 and is not a scam, it is their Customer Research (for want of a better description) calling to ensure she was getting the right deal for her and to see if she wanted to upgrade, so I suppose they re Market Research/Sales. Perfectly safe to answer. If in doubt, just don t give answers to questions you feel uncomfortable about.
