These jokers called me today addressing me as "Mr Steven" I said where are you calling from? He said "Nationwide" I said "Really? Well then you should know that in Britain nobody is Mr first name either just use their first name or Mr with their last name". This confused my thickly accented Indian friend greatly but I think he understood me in the end. SCAM - phoned with recorded message about my NI being used fraudulently, then please hold for an officer.....then a foreign man answered said he is from the national fraud division...after me asking him a couple of pinpoint questions he hung up. Turns out the number is a vodafone mobile number.

SCAM / SPAM Fake Virgin media scam marketing call. Trying to make you think you have problems with your router, which isn't possible with me as a) this is a work line, b) my work/nor me have any connection to Virgin Media.
I answered the call, it was an American voice, saying it was amazon wanting me to authorise the payment of 700 odd dollars for the purchase of an iPhone 12..... i haven't ordered this and i was worried the call would cost me so i ended the call and called my bank

AMAZON Authentic-sounding, recorded woman's voice claimed to be from "Amazon" advising that membership fee had been deducted from my account and gave me two options to press for follow up. Sounded suspicious so I just hung up. I called 0471 which gave me the number recorded here and then said: "Please hang up".
