SCAM recorded message saying from my Bank that 2 amounts in my bank account and to call them by pressing certain numbers etc!!! Didn’t of course and put the phone down. I only answered as it was from my area, Oxford! They have tried before about 6 months ago. Be careful.

Scam. Claiming to be from HMRC about a fraud.

SCAM No one speaks when answer the phone, although I didn’t speak, Number now blocked, it’s the 5th call this morning from similar numbers

Claimed to be from EE offering 40% discount. Eventually called me a liar and idiot when I said I'm not with EE (I'm not any of those!). Total fraud call.

A woman called Lauren called at 8.30 am to say that a lot of households in our neighbourhood had been receiving unwanted and nuisance calls. I asked if she was one of them and she said that her company, DDC (D Delta Complaints – or having looked at other comments, maybe it was Data Compliance) was going to put us on a more restrictive and safer system to block the fraudsters. I asked for her number and she said 0292 000 8716 but when I did 1471 it was 0208 312 0993.

SCAM It's Tom the insulation guy. Calls frequently but this is a new number. Says loft insulation is causing damp and we can get a free survey and an alternative. Went with it - he checks you're old enough to be vulnerable (65-85 or 85+) and that you're the home owner and takes a surname. Bloke from Protec loft insulation calls you back to arrange the visit to take money off you for something you don't need.

SCAM / SPAM Said it was HMRC and if you don't press number 1 they would send a warrent for arrest. No other explanations.

SCAM / SPAM Automated number called saying “there’s a HMRC fraud investigation going on and to press 1 to be connected to the agent dealing with the case. If you don’t press 1 immediately, an warrant will be issued immediately and you will be arrested shortly” HMRC doesn’t call like that, they will write to you if they need something. Don’t fall for it. Avoid it.

Amazon scam

SCAM foreign-sounding (Indian/Asian) man purporting to be from O2, saying my sim card is being discontinued and I'd get a new one. At same time had two texts with a code - deleted both and hung up on call.

Scam call purportedly from bank advising of fraudulent credit card transactions which they are blocking. The caller wants you to input a code which they text to you. DO NOT DO SO. If you do they will, no doubt, get access to your account. I put a block on the call number via my mobile phone provider and sent an email to the bank's security dept informing them of the scam.
