Call to my mobile. Didn't recognise the number (but similar to my mobile) so didn't answer even though it rang for a long time. No message or follow up call or text.
From a so called energy advice centre - wanted to know house ownership info, fuel used for heating, age of boiler, age of house, whether any renewal energy installed - clearly did not like my answers as he then cut the call off. Annoying and potentially dangerous if it had continued
This number sent me an SMS I do not recognise this number so I did not open it amp came straight here as I always do when a number is unknown to me My thanks to the only other person to leave a comment I have now deleted the SMS I deal in person with the NHS as I am fearful of hacking resulting in loss theft of my personal information I would not have initiated any contact from the NHS portal It may be autodialling not a scam per se but I will mark it as untrustworthy all the same

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. Missed call cannot ring the number back which screams SCAM or high pressure sales call. I have been pestered recently by buy to rent mortgage type people although not from the area code (Torquay) and estate planning neither of which would be of any use to me. Would love to know where they got my number from.

Known scam 0845 and 0843 numbers call for a second or two. They rely on you to call back as the number looks official. You are then played a recorded message that is designed to keep you on the line as the call is charged at over a £1 per minute. So you end up paying for the scam and your phone company probably won't help as you made the call willingly.

Called about a motorcycle accident only 6 days ago (about which I'd only spoken to insurance company) - their info was several days old and when I asked who they were and why they were contacting me they asked why I was being rude and then hung up! - all the signs of a dodgy '3rd party claims vulture' if you ask me!!

Scam and/or phishing attempt. It attempted to get me to message the phone number via WhatsApp. The person had sent an SMS from another number (07566706069) claiming to have dropped their phone down the toilet and that they’d instantly acquired a new phone. They asked me to message specifically via WhatsApp (???). This is the fourth message I’ve had this week, from a variety of unknowns, being asked to message a new number by someone claiming to have lost/damaged their phone.

I live in Belgium and recieven several phone calls from this number. I saw them as missed calls. When I rang back I got the message that the number is not in use.

SCAM: Someone called me to tell me that I had a certain amount of Bitcoin somewhere in an online wallet. When I did not respond the way she expected, she terminated the call.
Rings then hangs up. Treat as potentially dangerous, no place associated with the number.
