This number called today and I didn t have time to Google it before answering. Said they were from American Express, only asked for half my postcode and they knew the type of card I held and how long I have had it. He was trying to sell an identity/credit rating protection (Platinum protect plus I believe). He was polite, when I said I wasn t interested he was pleasant. Called number back but no reply. A mate is arranging to send the boys round, that should do the trick.

Put my mobile next to TV and she soon hung up. I don t mind they are paying for the call. TV sound seems quite effective with most unwanted callers.

CMC calls re accident over 2 years ago, claim to be Legal advice bureau and calling from London, but had no idea that is was a bank holiday here, then wished me a good evening but it was only 10:00 am here in UK!

Recorded message claiming we were the object of a law suit from HMRC. Asked to press 1 to return call. Obviously ignored it. NB: Selected "Unknown" for "Type of call / reason for calling" as none of the options matched the nature of the call.
