Worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. SCAM / SPAM - was pretending to be Paypal and asked me to confirm my identity by logging in via a link in a text.
Call centre - Claims to be from a 118 directory service. Asks to speak to the business owner. There is a pause after you answer before it connects so probably not actually from Aberdeen. Almost certainly a scam.
Keeps calling for housing repairs amd maintenance ect I'm not sure if legit as I hang up. But I'm sure my landlord would let me know of any maintenance going on

Rang my mother . Knew all her details. Pretended to be British Gas and said if she paid 199.99 now she would save money. They even knew her BG home service plan was up for renewal soon. He was so polite and convincing, she gave her bank card details. Luckily Nationwide have done a visa dispute and refunded her. We have phoned trading standards, British gas . Written a cancellation letter to so called company. This needs to go to Watchdog.

It’s calling me every single day for about a week and is very annoying i don’t answer to the calls and even block a lot of them but they call me again and again from different numbers so it a big chance to be a scam so avoid those numbers

Purported to be from National Crime Agency. Wanted me to call back otherwise my National Insurance number would be deactivated. Not sure that can be done, but anyway did not call back
