Recorded message saying BT & that internet would be disconnected within 24hrs unless press 1 to speak to someone. Luckily my elderly mother who they called is pretty cautious about scams and checked with me. I got her to do 1471 & googled the number finding various reports of similar on BT forum.
Called my number and disconnected when I answered. Its the 2nd 0800 call this week, which is un-normal for me, so believe it's linked to the other 0800 that also called me and disconnected. Not on Google

I have been repeatedly called on my cellphone from this number, no message left at any time. Have ignored because I don t know anyone in Alton, Hampshire. Phoned the number back from a private landline and got a voice mail message saying "the person at extension 251 is unavailable, please leave your name..." etc. Very annonying!

Fraud Was chatting with someone online who gave me this number. Claimed she was 20 years old. Then she sent a nude pic of herself, then told me she's 17, but 18 next month. As everybody else said, an indian man called with lots of background noise claiming to be from Talktalk. He said there was a problem with the internet running slowly. Had I noticed this? I realised it was a scam and thought I d play along for a little. He asked if I had a PC or laptop so I lied and told him that I only had a tablet.
