automated call saying my internet will be shut down and I should press one to speak to somebody. nThis is the third call of this type, all from different numbers in last 3 hours...
SCAM by recorded voice saying they were HM Revenue & Customs and a tax fraud had been reported. Say to press 1 to discuss with the officer. If I didn’t press a number to be connected I woukd soon be arrested. Obviously pressing any key will incur huge charges or they will try to get you to give personal information etc. My number is really private so I wonder just who sold it to these scammers?

on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. Called twice today; no message. Another number the same for the last 4 digits called a few minutes later. This was to an anonymous pay as you go phone who almost no one knows.
This is a scam. It comes through as a local number and tells you you have been charged a large amount by a popular online store then asks for information.

Male recorded voice, dangerous and harassing - claimed to be HMRC about a fraud in my name - if I didn't press 1, it said the bailiffs would be round and I'd be going to jail! They seem to be perming the number so anything beginning 0203837**** is suspect.
