It could be either spam or scam, but I do not know exactly. I get the last few weeks calls from this number that I always miss. A message is never left behind, which is weird.

This number called my husband and said someone had used his name fraudulently and an arrest warrant was being served and told to press 1 on phone but nothing happened

This criminal idiot who says he is from the industrial noise community must think I ve just got off the MV Windrush (just off the boat) This is just another criminal conman trying to separate a pensioner from his money. Well he rang the wrong one here, because he got the door slammed in his face on this one. No matter who they say they are, DON T DO BUSINESS OVER THE PHONE! Another number for the call blocker.

Uses various Claims Advice Helpline type names. Lies about links to your insurance company and has illegally bought details of a previous claim. Tries to claim more money is due you - complete scam. Ambulance chasers.

Paypal scam - posing as a Gumtree buyer . He/she will reply to anything you have for sale on gumtree. They send you a text but then ask you to reply to a moody email address. The one they gave me was [email?protected] and the number they used was +44 141 280 7229. Clearly foreign (poor use of English) and also clearly retarded - lack of understanding of gramma and spelling. Stay well away.

blocked this number, because it is a very close number to a previous gas cold caller and an insurance scam number. the only difference is the last digit. they must have bought a job lot of numbers.

Male caller rang from this number at lunchtime today. A bit of a waffle introduction, but eventually got round to the subject - an invitation to a free financial seminar (apparently people are really interested in it because of low interest rates). But he declined any request to put his information pack in the post to me. Pretty sure its a scam that should be avoided.
