I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

PPI wanting to refund me for a ?5000 loan I took out in 2004. Concerning thing, they knew my actual name. I certainly didn t take out a loan with anyone. Time wasting PPI company from India by the sounds of it. 2nd call today.

Nuisance caller. When told that we are not interested and don t want them to call again the response from Nicole was "tell the decision maker to ring me to tell me that. We can t accept that instruction from anyone else". When advised that the decision maker has no intention of speaking to them, they "threaten" to call again in 2 weeks time if they haven t heard from us. They don t accept that anyone has a right not to take their call.

ANY call about problems with your computer, broadband, router, viruses, IP address, broadband being cut off, offering discounts, etc., IS ALWAYS A SCAM. DO NOT be intimidated...
