Advice to anyone receiving sh*t like this: If you're really concerned it might be genuine, just phone your bank using the number on the back of your debit card. Then! The person calling said they were from Carphone Warehouse and wanted to talk to me about upgrading my phone (but didn't seem to know what model phone I had, plus this mobile isn't with Carphone Warehouse), but the number is showing up online as belonging to a newsagent in Daventry so be cautious as I'm not sure it's legit...

I responded to a text advert when I advertised my car for sale. We buy any car offered a quotation if I provide basic vehicle details. They provided an(under)valuation figure to offer to buy your car, I wasnt interested however I was later telephoned by the company to whome I Confirmed I was Not interested in selling to them. The company has since contacted me again three times, they have my contact number from the original add.

"Jack" called from the "Credit Investigation Department"... I asked which company this "Department" worked for, which at first he wouldn t answer. Eventually he said it was a UK Government Agency... When I pressed him further and explained that I signed up to the TPS and he should not be calling me, he told me to "Shut up and listen!". When I laughed at him and told my colleagues around me what he d just said, he hung up (unsurprisingly!)
