SCAM: Received a text to my mobile , supposedly from MY BRITISH GAS saying ' We were unable to accept your amount due, visit mybritishgas-uk.com to update'. Looked it up online, as I'm NOT with British Gas, and yes, it's a phishing text to get your bank details. Apparently the site it leads to is very realistic, and people have been caught out. Seems there is an email version too. Number blocked!

This number is one of a number of similar numbers calling one of our staff with a recorded message claiming to wnat to sell PPI , loans and claiming to be linked to Nat West No person ever actually speaks and th UK rules on this type of thing. I suspect this number has been hijacked by a untrustworthy marketing organisation abroad
SPAM scam An Indian woman called in the morning,dad answered they said his surname and that they were from virgin,calling about his internet is fluctuating and that they will do a test to see what the problem is,dad gave me the phone to deal with her so I said to her to call back later.She called me late afternoon when I asked her where she was calling from she said talk talk and I said we weren’t with them when I said how would she know if something was wrong with my internet she hung up.

SCAM Got this text saying it was from llyods and that I paired a device. Said to click a link if it was not me. I didn't pair any device and I have NEVER had a llyods account. A google search does come back with the number linking it to India and I have been getting some calls from India in the last month or so. Obviously I never answer these calls.

Receieved a call from this number a few minutes ago. Not sure why someone from Oswestry would want to call me but answered anyway. Very obviously a call centre fronm the background noise so I was quite happy to have a chat but unfortunately the call was dropped. Oh well, no fun to be had here so 01691 numbers are blocked.
