Phoned out blue, saying following up a previous enquiry I’d made once about investments. Said not a sales call but called themselves ?BT Marketing? I’m currently looki at investments. So let the call run. Pleasant polite lady. Asked if they could pass my details onto a tech investment firm, to send me more info. I felt extra info may be useful, so gave permission. However, contact info they had for me was a very old email address. She reassured me they would not pass my details to anyone else. (We’ll see).
Said it was HMRC and something about money...obviously, but since I heard it was a robotic voice I just hang up. I haven't been called this way by HMRC ...ever ..clearly a scam.

I think this is a scam. Told that a transfer of a large sum of money was blocked ... scary bit was the value of the money was a value I do transfer.

lots of calls from Crime Prevention company they will just not give up even trying to con a colleague into saying yes when I have already told them no!!! Had similar experience previously by a different name and they actually only ever printed 12 copies of their newspaper which we had been asked to advertise in! This is how they can seem legal. Rude Asian man telling me about a problem with my computer. His supervisor called me back and asked why I had been rude to his staff. I told him that he was rude by saying that he would put a block on my computer and I would have to pay to get it working again. The 3rd call was just shouting at me in a foreign language. Calls 4 and 5 were silent but I could hear the same people in the background.

People can read my other comments about this company elsewhere on the sitebut I am mentioning here because they used a diffrent telephone number to the other calls. Beware at all costs. Tried getting me to sign up to them again and keep trying to entice you with the petrol voucher, which I didn t get before anyway.
