SCAM Call to say there's fraudulent activity with my national insurance number and its time sensitive and I need to speak to a detective. Clearly a scam of sorts.
Very aggressive so asked them to Hold while I get a pen. Dragged this out for them for 4 mins - lol - at least i wasted their time! Score to the consumer!
Claimed to be from BT and said something wrong with router. Wanted me to go to computer so he could show me the error messages. Told him to write or email me.
SCAM - Just had a call saying they were contacting me about upgrading my phone, so I wasn't best pleased about being disturbed when I'm not feeling well with a very heavy cold. Scam call purportedly from bank advising of fraudulent credit card transactions which they are blocking. The caller wants you to input a code which they text to you. DO NOT DO SO. If you do they will, no doubt, get access to your account. I put a block on the call number via my mobile phone provider and sent an email to the bank's security dept informing them of the scam.
