SCAM This is a call centre saying it is a courtesy call due to an appliances warrantee expiring, on this instance it was a washing machine, so quite believable. They wanted £65 per year for another 3 years full cover. It sounded very genuine until she said that she wanted me to tell her the name and make of my appliance and i said that i was ok and didn't want to renew the warrantee as i'd had it for over 5 years, then they just hung up and the line went dead. These guys scammers for accident claims comapnies. After leading them on about accident I managed to get their real phone number 0121 389 0802.
That was an automated voice about crime of tax. He asked me to press 1 and to give my details to know more about it. I didn't press anything but hang on phone. I think it is dangerous, please don't give any of your details for anyone in phone!!!

I had a call from a woman with an Indian accent on this number purporting to be from Virgin Media, saying there were error messages coming up on my Internet connection. I told them I wasn't the account holder and asked who they wanted to speak to. They then said that they understood I was the account holder. I asked them to name the person they wanted to speak to. The line went dead at that point, funnily enough. Definitely a scam.
