Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1612497xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI claims services, insurance marketing, robocalls. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

I m on TPS as well as careful about giving out my number, so I can only imagine they are using one of those random dialer machines, which as far as I am aware, are illegal. Reported to TPS, Ofcom and my mobile service provider. Hopefully one of them will stop these idiots calling.

This number is costing me £2.50 every time I receive a text from them, but I have never contacted them or subscribed to anything!!! 02 wont do anything as its a third party and I've tried sending a "stop" message as 02 told me to, to no avail.
