Called today by an Asian guy calling himself Steven Barnes. He was a bit thrown when I asked him for his last name and I could tell by the way he said it that he had just made it up that moment. I knew straightaway it was a scam as Sky cards do not expire.

This number rings about 7 or 8 times in a week. Usually I let it go to the answerphone where they just keep saying "hello hello" and eventually realise it s not a person at the other end. Last week I was working from home so was expecting calls regarding work, when this number rang & I answered the phone. Was phoned by someone saying that I'd won a free holiday and all I had to do was pick up the vouchers from opposite the Trafford Centre in Manchester, both me and my husband. Fake caller pretending to be a hmrc and claiming there was tax fraud investigation and if I didn't answer I would arrested promptly, I pressed 1 and a person answered saying how can I help you today, this therefore told me straight away it was a scam as why does a hmrc officer need to ask me how they can help me if they called me. Don't continue with the unless you want to mess them around.
