Called today @ 13:05 hrs. I have a call blocker on my landline set to 'announce'. This seems to work for all of these low life scammers. They do not introduce themselves to be put through. Telephone does not even ring. My suggestion is to get 'Call Guardian'

Received an automated message purporting to be from Barclays saying there had been attempted fraudulent activity on my old Barclaycard and that they would text me details. This they did, saying that they would call me from 01628778331. The scammers have ways of making a call appear to come from a genuine number. The call appeared to come from this number and they asked for my new card number and DoB. After the call was finished, I thought about it and called the Barclay's Customer Service number on the back

An oriental sounding lady told me I was waiting for money back from an insurance claim. When I told her I definitely wasn t, she tried to argue over me so I just told her to never call me again and hung up.
