They cut themself off mid-sentence after what sounded like someone shouting. Very heavy Indian accent.
This seems to be a scam, someone pretending to be someone's child, saying 'Hi Mum, this is my new number. My phone doesn't turn on on anymore so now you can text and call me on this number'. My child would not write like this. Please be aware.

This number called me 9.12.2022 told me it was BT and advised other people were using my internet connection and were doing so for bad purposes. Wanted me to turn on my computer so they could sort it out and stop the problem.

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. This is an unwanted and unrequested caller who is breaking all UK regulations regarding sales calls to TPS protected numbers. The caller was called Elsie, had USA accent so number may be spoofed. Refused to confirm my I'd so caller hung up. Avoid this caller.

AMAZON scam! Telling me that an order has been made in my name and £300 payment has been taken from my card!!! Press 1 to speak to an operator. Call from supposed local exchange and when answerphone cut in automated message informed me money had been taken from my card and to press 1 to contact them. Obvious scam as have had identical message from various numbers over the past year.
