This number is a legitimate business - Home Shield Direct. They sell insurance for various white goods. I have cooker, washing machine and fridge/freezer covered. Had them out to fix all three appliances at various times and service was excellent. So absolutely NOT a scam.

called by this number 02392987558 asking for a person by name of Mr Scales who had taken out a loan in 2005 and paid off in 2008 when I told them I was not the person they said it didn,t matter ,but if I told them my name they would get me a refund of ?3500 I refused and realising it was a scam hung up

Like Cadbury who posted a few weeks ago, just had a call (on an ex-directory Virgin landline, not BT) from someone cllaiming to be from accident and investigation and that I must co-operate.....After i gave him the hard word and advised that we were registered with TPS and if further harassed I would prosecute, he hung up.....

Currently in Thailand this number is pestering us and spoiling our holiday calling up to six times per day including silly hours such as 3 am We have no business with British Gas, never had anything to do with them. It must be a scam
