When I said I was an IT graduate with several years of support experience and that her story did not add up, and that she was calling from Watford where Microsoft do not have an office, she strangely put the phone down on me!

Don t believe their story that they do not have to comply with data screening /TPS lists etc. I do not think that their excuse we are not a marketing/sales company should excuse these people from TPS lists and private numbers They are unsolicited / cold callers. Information I beleive this is an Italian call centre in the UK as they called me on my italian cell phone in Italy from the UK.. When they rang I was busy on the phone. I rang back (3 times) I only got an answer machine asking to leave a message. I have no idea who they are.

Fraud. Recorded voice claimed to be Amazon Prime and said I had been charged 79.99 and if that wasn't me to press 1 on my phone keypad. As Prime is actually £79 for a year, I terminated the call and blocked the number.
