The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based, Indian company masking the no to a local city!!

This was a call from a call tariff firm wanting to increase its network it is a cold call and has obtained my number via a sale from other companies I have blocked the number and asked the company to remove me from their call lists immediately this is the second call i have had from a similar number and I asked the last called to remove my number also this did not happen the 1st Time - I will see if it happens again.

SCAM A female agent called me with Mobile Phone = 07428693956 at 12:02 pm identifying themselves as BT Customer Services and Security. They said their engineer was working on the line and detected an extra IP address registered at my location. Now BT customer services never ring outbound on a mobile, plus IP addresses are allotted by the router and not by the user. Very persistent, unsolicited caller from 0330 127 0631. Despite several times I said I was not interested he just goes on and on and on. I had to ask three times that they remove my number from the list.

The person on this number was trying to sell us domains that we already own. We asked them to send information via email, not surprising nothing arrived. Possible scam.
This guy called me and he said he was a member of the association AML "anti money laundering" in UK and international also. He pretended he could recover money from crypto websites. I too have solar panels and I have had eight calls in the last week from a Chelmsford number. Its as good as a scam, pretending to have discount vouchers for work on your house to be more eco friendly. Very persistent and don't take no for an answer.
