I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. Said they were Mcafee support, handling issue relating to our home "network" which would mean all devices using network (he meant router) would shortly become infected and stop working. Wanted £200 to fix, as our Mcafee didn't cover "network". Said we'd call back and given this number. Subsequently checked with Currys who support some of our tech who confirmed it's a scam

SCAM - I am getting this number call daily. I answered it today and a woman with a heavy Indian accent, told me she was from the Technical Department at Sky. Her report told her that suspicious activity was happening with my Sky router, but she could help me. I asked how how that could be, given I don't have Sky.... the line went silent
A computer voice spoke when I answered the call, something about tax evasion and that a warrant had been sent out. I was told to press 1 to be passed to an operator. The person that answered didn't know that I had been passed through, asked for my name, then asked why I had been invading tax...
