pretended to me that i had won an electric toothbrush i stupidly supplied some bank details for postage supposedly of 3 then they set up a recurring direct debit and took a further 2499 without my permission so i hurredly blocked them and changed my CC i am still awaiting reimbursment from my bank

Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them. Cryptocurrency scammer. I'm pretty sure he actually said the phrase "You signed up online. I wanted to know if you were still interested in this scam". When i laughed and called him out on it he became very irate accusing me of wasting his time and belittling his profession even though I was asking him to repeat what he said. It sounded like he had a few layers of fake proof set up online though. It might've fooled me if i hadn't googled it beforehand.

took a call from a foreign sounding woman claiming to be from open reach telling me they had detected my internet speed was faulty. It was a local number but she handed me on to a foreign guy who, when I asked where he was based, said London. When I told him I thought he was a scammer he hung up!
