I got a call from this number. I didn't pick up. it went as a misscall. But its a spam call.

Text message stating it was Octopus Energy. But I have an account and they normally contact via email. So I don’t trust it.

this number is very untrustworthy, they called me and had every bit of my personal information in front of them including my address, as I didn t want to disclose any more information with them they laughed at me and put the phone down, not impressed at all so if someone does know this company using this number id appreciate it to know who they are

who called me from this phone numer?

They had my name but stopped speaking mid-sentence before they said where they were from and then hung up. I heard call centre noise after they stopped speaking.

Just got a silent call today 05/08/13

The PEST is: Domestic & General :( They are a cold-calling pest phishing for new Loft Insulation contracts. I have automated calls on a daily basis for 2 months now - 3 rings and they hang up - never leaving a message. I wish the government would provide the regulators with some teeth to prosecute all these highly persistent phone pests making MULTIPLE nuisance calls. I changed my number relatively recently to avoid this, and I m ex-directory and I ve "opted out" so they should check before they call.

phishing "calling about your recent accident" (none, obvs) - refuses to answer where they got my number when asked and hangs up. When called back number is not recognised.

As in the other comment I was told to ring 01642850850 - this is useless. It asks you to give the name of the person and offers no other option. Since I don t know who called I was at a dead end

I ordered something from Argos website a few weeks ago while doing something else at the same time, and neglected to reverse the default status on the "let us sell your number to everyone" tick box. Now I m getting 2-3 calls a day from this number. My own silly fault for swimming with sharks.

Pestered with messages from this company trying to sell home insurance.
