Silent call - disturbed my train of thought during work hours on a work-only number. Best guess is they dial out in excess of capacity and just dump surplus responders -- whoever they are this is an abusive practice

I am getting regular silent calls from this number even though I am registered with the TPS. I have now tracked them down and the number belongs to a supposedly reputable charity fundraising organisation. I say supposedly reputable since no genuinely reputable company would make such a nuisance of themselves, especially on TPS registered numbers. A man claimed he was from a company called "Speed" who rudely demand to know why I hadn t made a claim for the accident I d apparently been in. The last accident I d been involved in was a few years ago and upon hearing me start to explain this he hung up before I finished speaking. This is clearly a scam hoping to either get some personal details to allow them to commit identity fraud or to falsely extract money from me.

Phoned my mother with a countdown saying they were turning her internet off. Shes not on the net.
Received a call in the afternoon, after answering it and saying hello the caller hung up. So I tried calling the number to see who this caller was and a operater responded that the number was dialed incorrectly. But I don t know how it could of been dialled incorrectly, because I didn t dial it as I just pressed the button on the phone to call the number back.

Accident claims experts ...according to their records I had a road accident 2 years ago which left me unable to work!?! Told them I hadn t but if they insist on numerous phone calls to tell me then feel free to send me the compo cheque as I could do with the dosh, at which point they became quite abusive and hung up. Purported to be Virgin Media reviewing your account to provide the best possible service. They fail on DPA/GDPR as don't seem to understand the principles of validating they are speaking to the account holder. They don't have access to account information such as account numbers, billing area codes etc.
