This number called me at 07:25 with an automated message saying they were from Amazon and that I should call them back, the line was very crackly.
AMAZON scam! Telling me that an order has been made in my name and £300 payment has been taken from my card!!! Press 1 to speak to an operator. I pressed 1, and told the guy I was confused to the message and he hung up. The phone code is my local town but the guy was Indian. DONT GIVE OUT YOUR CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE GUYS!!!!

Missed call cannot ring the number back which screams SCAM or high pressure sales call. I have been pestered recently by buy to rent mortgage type people although not from the area code (Torquay) and estate planning neither of which would be of any use to me. This is an unwanted and unrequested caller who is breaking all UK regulations regarding sales calls to TPS protected numbers. The caller was called Elsie, had USA accent so number may be spoofed. Refused to confirm my I'd so caller hung up. Avoid this caller.

SCAM Automated call Banking AMAZON American female voice claiming that my Visa Mastercard (!) was being debited for large amounts of money - one going overseas, and the other to Amazon. "Click 1 if you've authorised these transactions, or 2 to speak to our fraud advisor", or similar message. I put the phone down.

Unable to answer the original call a voice message was left to call this number back. The voice message did not state the company involved but required an anti-fraud check. This was a 'genuine' number, but the questions were probing and having given my contact number after questions to verify myself I was asked for the last 4 digits of that contact number already given, there were too many disconnected questions that could be joined up for other fraud. I terminated the call. Supposedly Barclaycard.

An Indian man claiming to be from Currys PC World who had an iPhone offer for me with for so and so a month, unlimited texts, I stopped listening at this point. I said no thank you, I don't want an iPhone and he hung up. Clearly nothing to do with Curry's, just some chancer trying his luck.
