SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. I ordered something from Argos website a few weeks ago while doing something else at the same time, and neglected to reverse the default status on the "let us sell your number to everyone" tick box. Now I m getting 2-3 calls a day from this number. My own silly fault for swimming with sharks.

My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP. When mum-in-law initialy went into the bank to query the transaction they told her that it was a holiday company and assisted her to call them. The company told her that they take the view that unless you specifically say otherwise they assume that you want thier services, even though the in-laws had no knowledge of the company. T

They said I had won a discount holiday but wanted me to answer all personal questions. Told them I was busy as something didn't see right Too pushy and too nosey.

This company is still at it but now calling off witheld numbers. I heard the words "accident" when I asked who they were. Told them never to call me again that my number was registered with Mobile Telephone Preference Service so therefore they should not be calling and that accessing my number from Gumtree for marketing calls was illegal before telling them to remove my number immediately or next time I will report them.

Rang up asking to speak to accounts about the business insurance, told them it was renewed in march. they then wanted to know who it was with and I said that Im not obliged to tell them and told them not to ring this number again but they probably will do
