SCAM / SPAM Appears to be a banking scam. Received a text message saying that I had successfully paired a new device and should click on a link if I hadn’t recently paired a new device. The link is to a fake Halifax website which asks for login details. I phoned the Halifax and they told me it was a scam. The worrying thing is that they knew my name, number and that I bank with the Halifax! Beware!!

Called my parents number, asked to speak to my father, my mother said you can't, she asked why, she said he is very ill, she asked why what is wrong with him I want to speak to him...my mother said im sorry but I'm not telling you... and he can't speak to you.. so they hung the phone up at my mother asked who they where... im sorry why should elderly people have to deal with people calling there house... its so wrong...why my father couldn't talk is cause he is dying and can hardly speak....

They knew my full name, address details, and obviously had my phone number, but when the conversation turned to my financial details.......smelt a rat! Scammer - Says they are BT openreach, then proceeds to say there is a problem with the router and you need to give them details to fix it. When I said I don't have BT services, the guy said "I know, BT is the only distributer over the country!" Really? Perhaps they need to do their homework. The Indian lady asked for a person, who is a fictional character I use in a game. So, obviously that game was either hacked, or they were willing to sell on my information including my mobile telephone number! So annoyed NO-ONE has yet put the effort into tracing, fining and STOPPING these nuisance calls!
